Environment is about more than nature; it’s about the localities we all live in and the people around us, too. Miners know the value of people; take as an example Resolution Copper’s recent donation of $285,000 to the Mesa-based United Food Bank in Arizona. The funds will support the United Food Bank’s programs and operations across its 19,000 square mile service area. The United Food Bank experienced record demand for food assistance in 2025, so the donation is coming at a critical time.
“Mining has always been about more than minerals. It is about people. Our work in the Copper Triangle connects us to communities that have powered Arizona’s economy for generations. But we know that strong communities start with meeting basic needs, and for many families, that means food security,” Resolution Copper President and General Manager Vicky Peacey said.
