Frank Delacruz, a Support Equipment Operator II at Freeport-McMoRan’s Morenci site in Arizona, has built a career defined by consistency, care for others and personal responsibility, all embedded in a strong culture of safety.
Delacruz himself attributes his safety record to following procedures, staying alert to changes and looking out for those around him. “Reaching 50 years of safe service with Freeport at Morenci is both humbling and deeply meaningful,” Delacruz said. “What began as a job became a career and a second home, grounded in a shared commitment to looking out for one another and returning home safely every day. I’m grateful for the people, the trust and the safety values that have guided this journey and made this milestone possible.”
By proving that safety is lived in every moment, not the result of a single action, Delacruz has shown a prime example for others to follow.
