Recognition of Philanthropic Businesses

One testament to a strong business is its willingness to give back to the community. Improving the social and economic wellbeing of communities is a core part of smart business practices, and Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) has been recognized by two of Nevada’s leading business publications for its philanthropic community efforts. NGM was named “Philanthropic Business of the Year” by the Vegas Inc.’s Angel Awards and also received the “Others First Philanthropy and Giving” award from the Nevada Business Magazine.

“For us, being a true partner to our host communities and the viability of our business go hand-in-hand and we are grateful that our efforts have been recognized,” NGM’s Executive Managing Director Greg Walker said. A key focus has been educational initiatives and career development. This support aids the community, but also the industry as it builds the workforce of tomorrow. Walker added, “Our story is about creating opportunity and sustaining the benefits of mining in partnership with our fellow Nevadans, and we remain committed to uplifting the silver state and securing its golden future.”
